There were times when I couldn’t even blink because the salty sweat was streaming right into my eyes. It was horrible! I tell you a better story! Two years ago I went to my bank to cash some checks and I couldn’t even fill out the invoice because the sweat was dripping from my forehead. Can you imagine how embarrassing is that? Well, I suppose you can, that’s why you are here.
And this bank incident was the last straw – I had to do something about this perspiration. I was frustrated so I started to do some research – and I’ve summarized everything in this short article for your convenience. I only list the techniques and tips that are really work. Just a heads up: these are all free and can be applied by everyone. Some might seem a no-brainer but trust me they work.
- Do you drink coffee? And black tee? Well, you have to reduce the intake. Why? Because it accelerates your metabolism therefore your body tries to get rid all the toxic faster. Therefore you sweat. Try drinking cold water! Drink at least 1,5-2 liters/day, even more if it’s summer.
- A handy quick fix can be carrying a handkerchief. You can just swipe the sweat quickly off your forehead or armpits – baby wipes work even better! Another solution can be wearing a wristband – dark if possible. Not too elegant that’s for sure but hey, better than looking like a pig in the oven.
- If you like hot and spicy food then you should reduce the intake as well because it rises your body temperature and, well, you sweat. No more chili con carne!
- Shower! Three-four times a day if need be. A good, cold shower for a few minutes greatly decreases your body temperature and you will not only feel better but of course you won’t perspire that much.
- Move slower! Do not run, especially if there is no shade around. Slower motion helps you to maintain your body temperature at a certain level. Try to avoid direct sunlight if possible. That will kill not only you but everyone around you. Smelling armpits are not something to long for.
- Wear comfortable and loose clothing! This will keep you ventilated and accelerates drying. Tight clothes will kill you, especially if they are black. In summary: wear white, loose clothes. White reflects heat the best (think about it: how warm the arctic is?). Forget the fashion; your health is much more important!
Well these little tricks helped me a LOT when I started applying them, but you have to be aware the fact that these are only quick remedies. Some people might have certain conditions which need advanced methods – for example in my case. I started to see excellent results when I read this eBook – after two weeks my excessive sweating stopped almost completely!
